French Polynesia Itinerary

Trip focused on swimming with humpback whales/pelagics and sailing for 4 days through Polynesia on a private catamaran.

In life, unique opportunities arise that must be seized, and we are going to do just that: We’re going to French Polynesia!

French Polynesia is one of those dream destinations that you should visit at least once in a lifetime, and it’s one of the best places in the world to swim with humpback whales or sail through its turquoise waters, passing by postcard-perfect beaches. 🐋🐋

We are super excited to launch this new route in collaboration with two ocean lovers like no others: Anna and Vanesa (our expedition leaders), who have dreamed of exploring this paradise since they were little, and now they’re ready to guide us and share all the secrets it hides. 💙

This is a trip designed for adventurers who want to go beyond conventional tourism and live a unique experience with a group of young people eager to get lost in a truly incredible destination. 🌊✨

Are you coming to one of the most amazing destinations to date? Keep reading and find out if this trip is for you!

Why a Trip to French Polynesia?

As we mentioned before, French Polynesia is one of those destinations that is on every ocean lover’s dream list: humpback whales, pristine reefs, totally untouched paradise beaches, and stunning turquoise waters are the ingredients for the feast that this amazing trip will be! 🌺🐋

That’s why we’re offering this destination – designed so that everyone, whether divers or non-divers, can enjoy it. We’ll focus on snorkeling and unique water experiences, and sail freely through the most paradisiacal and remote islands in the country.

📅 Trip Dates

This trip is scheduled for the dates from September 15th to 25th 2025, and we may extend a few extra days in the Tahiti area.

IMPORTANT: We will meet on the morning of September 15, so your flight should arrive by that day at the latest, or the day before, in order to participate in all the activities.

This trip starts and ends at the airport in Papeete (Tahiti, French Polynesia).

✈️ Flights and How to Get There

Yes, we know: French Polynesia is literally on the other side of the world, so it usually takes at least a full day to get there.

The most direct option is to fly from Paris to Tahiti (Papeete, PPT) with Air Tahiti Nui or French Bee. Flights from Spain to Paris, combined with the leg to Tahiti, usually cost between €1,200 and €1,400 round-trip, depending on the season and how early you book.

We recommend checking Skyscanner, and if you need help, you know we’re always here and happy to assist you! 🌺

🧭 The Itinerary

– Day 1: Arrival in Papeete, ferry to Moorea, and acclimatization

Welcome to paradise! As soon as we land, we’ll meet at Papeete Airport and take a ferry to Moorea, the island where we will spend the next 5 days.

Here we’ll meet the group, make introductions, share stories, and enjoy a dinner together as the sun sets. We’ll also go over the itinerary for the amazing trip ahead. 🌅

– Days 2, 3, and 4: Full Day Humpback Whales

We’ll spend 3 full days dedicated to seeking out those magical encounters with humpback whales, one of the highlights of the trip!

We’ll be in the water practically all day (7-8 hours) looking for these incredible creatures in their natural habitat. If we’re lucky, we’ll see them breaching, singing, and swimming peacefully alongside us. We guarantee that having a whale near you will be a memory you’ll never forget! 🐋

On some of the days, we’ll end the tour in the lagoon, where we might encounter groups of baby blacktip sharks and rays swimming alongside us.

In the afternoons, we’ll have free time to enjoy the beaches and landscapes of Moorea, and perhaps have a few beers at sunset while chatting about the day’s adventures.

– Day 5 – Ocean Safari in Search of Pelagics and Sharks

On the fifth day, we’ll dedicate ourselves to an ocean safari in search of sharks and other pelagic species – after all, it’s not all about whales!

Get ready to encounter dolphins, tiger sharks, oceanic whitetip sharks, and much more! This day will be full of rock & roll in the water and strong emotions as we go in search of some more action. 🦈

– Day 6 – Scuba diving in Moorea

In Moorea, we couldn’t miss including a unique activity for underwater enthusiasts: two dives in the crystal-clear waters of this paradisiacal island.

During these dives, we’ll explore the local reefs, home to a rich marine biodiversity, where we might encounter blacktip sharks, gray sharks, and occasionally, reef sharks. We’ll also swim alongside schools of tropical fish, eagle rays, and, if we’re lucky, we might spot a turtle in its natural habitat. 🐠🐠

The dives will be suitable for both experienced divers and those with fewer dives under their belt, as the dive sites are calm and very safe.

– Days 7, 8, 9, and 10: Private Catamaran Sailing through the Society Islands

Welcome to our mini expedition! For four days, we’ll sail aboard an exclusive catamaran, which will be reserved just for our group.

We’ll enjoy the tranquility of Polynesian waters, with time to swim, snorkel, and explore some of the best beaches in the world. If the conditions and the captain allow, we’ll try to reach the paradisiacal island of Bora Bora.

We’ll stop at unique spots where we can snorkel among tropical fish, visit local islands, and enjoy spectacular sunsets from the boat’s deck. The nights will be spent relaxing under a starry sky while sharing laughter, stories, and delicious food onboard! 🏝️

Day 11: End of the Trip and Return to Spain

All good things come to an end, but we assure you that we’ll be returning home with unique memories and new friendships.

French Polynesia will have stolen our hearts, and we’ll have spent some truly incredible days together. See you on the next trip! 🌺

🐋 Things to Keep in Mind Before Booking…

Before you keep reading, here are some important points to consider for this trip, as it’s an entirely adventurous route where we’ll be 100% dependent on the conditions that nature gives us.

  • All activities take place in open water, and we’re searching for wild animals, so we can never guarantee “seeing something specific.” That said, the local companies and guides we work with have vast experience and will do everything they can to make it happen!
  • Before getting the perfect photo or a selfie, comes respect for the animals and our safety. We don’t tolerate any bad practices in this regard.
  • This trip is not a typical touristic trip; quite the opposite: we are looking for the most local and authentic experience, so we focus on working with locals and avoiding the touristy stuff. From food to tours, we assure you that this part of the world is amazing, and we’ll show you why!
  • As with all of our trips, we aim to create a group where everyone feels comfortable and we all have fun.
  • If there’s one thing the sea has taught us, it’s that with good vibes and positive energy, everything eventually falls into place. Be patient, and hopefully, we’ll be lucky! 🤞
