¿What is exactly a “Liveaboard”?
A liveaboard is, as its name indicates, a trip in which everything is lived and done on a boat; In our case, diving, sleeping and eating (a lot!), basically.
There are different types of liveaboards all over the world, and they are a perfect option for lovers of diving, surfing or any other aquatic modality who want to have a more complete and authentic experience and, of course, and in our case, dive in remote places. where you couldn’t reach on a day trip.
Trip Dates
Trip DatesThe liveaboard is scheduled for April 26th to May 3th, 2025 (just before the rainy season begins in the Maldives and with the water at a perfect temperature of between 29 and 31°C!), which We will add a few days visiting some of the best local islands in the Maldives and which we will organize later according to the group’s preferences. We assure you that the Maldives has a lot to offer besides resorts!
IMPORTANT: We will go onboard on April 26th throughout the day (starting at 12:00 p.m.) and leave the boat early on May 3rd (remember that you need to wait 24h before flying back home).
The itinerary
The itineraryThis is the Best of the Maldives, and it delivers exactly that. This is where you dive the best and most famous dive sites of the Maldives in a week of wonderful liveaboard diving across Male, Ari & Vaavu atolls.
Awaiting you are channels (Kandus), pinnacles (Thilas) & cleaning stations where you have every chance of meeting mantas, a big variety of sharks and mesmerising marine life of so many varieties.
This itinerary gives you a marine mix of big fish such as shark and manta dives as well as reef dives, reef fish, morays and macro life. Get up close at the cleaning stations without disturbing the locals! One of the best known dive sites is Fish Head; a marine protected site, this medium size pinnacle has many resident turtles, huge schools of fusiliers being stalked by trevally and patrolling grey reef sharks. Overhangs and a large school of blue line snapper, the iconic reef fish of the Maldives make this a genuinely great dive.
We’ll dive around the next Atolls: Rasdhoo Atoll, North & South Ari Atolls, Vaavu Atoll, North & South Male Atolls.
This itinerary requires at least having an Open Water course (there is no minimum number of dives), although for some other diving you may not be able to go down more than 18m if you do not have higher qualifications such as Advanced Open Water course (which you can do on board if you want!).
The Boat
The BoatOne of the most important aspects for a liveaboard to be fully enjoyed is that the place where you “live” for a week is comfortable and functional.
For this trip we will be onboard Emperor Leo, one of the best boats in the Emperor Maldives fleet, 35 meters long, four floors and a jacuzzi in the bow to enjoy the sunsets! 
The boat is prepared to accommodate up to 24 divers in very comfortable rooms, with air conditioning and everything you need to feel comfortable and rest after the dives.
The main floor has a huge living-dining room and a sofa area where we will do the diving briefings; On the upper floor we have an awesome deck with sun loungers and cushions where we can sunbathe and relax. And in the lower and middle parts are the cabins and several chill areas.
For the meals and the service, it’s just amazing; The meals are always abundant and different every day, and everything is really delicious (on a trip like this you don’t expect to find such elaborate dishes, but with Emperor it is always brutal and we assure you that you won’t go hungry!). The staff is always awesome, smiling and helping you with whatever you need (even putting on your wetsuit or putting on your fins!).
Budget and Prices
Budget and PricesThe final price for this trip on these dates is 2.500€ all included for standard cabin (subject to cabin availability).
* Cabins on the upper deck (with large windows and views) have a supplement of 180€/person.
** The 16m2 superior suite (with a king size bed, a 7m2 bathroom, large windows and views) has a supplement of 300€/person.

What’s included and what’s not?
What’s included and what’s not?- Included: diets + drinks (breakfast/lunch/dinner), room + bed linen/towels, 17/18 guided dives + tanks (free Nitrox included) and transfers to/from Male Airport*.
- Not included: flights, insurance, diving equipment (can be rented**), alcoholic beverages (a glass of wine is included during the dinner) and tips.
* Transfers will be organized according to the arrival of travelers. Private transfers at different times have an additional cost.
** Renting the complete equipment costs 250€ (mask, fins, regulator, BCD, neoprene, SMB and computer). You can see all the rental prices here.
Booking term & conditions
Booking term & conditionsBooking period: from April 10th to June 15th 2025. The reservation payment (20%) must be made at the time of confirming the booking, while the rest of the amount to confirm the place will have to be paid before October 20th 2024.
All reservations will be paid by transfer to an account that we have created for the trip and from which we will transfer everything to the company (0.7% fee applies for international transfer).
As places are limited, we will give priority to the first emails that arrive and we will confirm and choose cabins in that order!
