General Booking Conditions

Below we specify the general conditions of contracting a trip with Longimanus Trips:

Passports and visas: All guests must have a passport valid for at least six more months after arrival and must ensure that the entry visa to the country where the trip takes place (Egypt or Maldives) is correctly processed. Travelers are responsible for all visa-related issues.

Travel and diving insurance: It is mandatory for all travelers to have travel and diving insurance that covers them in the event of an accident. Under no circumstances will Longimanus Trips be responsible for any traveler not having personally taken out insurance to cover diving injuries (risks, costs and expenses likely to be incurred as a result of a diving injury are not sufficient take out travel insurance). You can consult us and we will recommend some companies with which we usually work.

 

Cancellation Policy

The general booking conditions, amounts and payments for each trip are specified on the individual pages of each of them.

Reservations (20% of the total amount of the trip): There will be no refunds for reservations in any case. Name changes may be accepted depending on availability and group organization.

Confirmed places (100% of the payment made): There will be no refund option for confirmed places already paid. In case of force majeure, the traveler may look for another person to take his place in order not to lose the amount of his seat. The name change is free as long as it occurs more than one month before the departure of the trip. In this situation and whenever it is a justified reason and force majeure, Longimanus Trips will do its best to find another person in order to help the traveler, but in no case will it be responsible for the loss of that amount.

Egypt

Groups and private charters: all our trips are subject to the formation of a minimum group of people to be able to have the boat for ourselves, but the trip is insured in any case and, if you do not have a group large enough to Having the private charter will be done with an international group along with other international divers.

Transfers: After passing through customs and collecting your luggage at the Hurghada or Marsa Alam airport, a representative of Lonigmanus or Emperor Divers will be waiting for you (according to the groups and times agreed on in the included transfers, previously communicated through our channels or WhatsApp groups). Transfers to and from the ship are offered free of charge at agreed times; Outside of this it will have an extra cost. This may require waiting at the airport.

Diving conditions: The maximum depth for diving in the Red Sea is 40 metres, unless you are a qualified technician. In some dives the recommended depth is less than 18m, so it is recommended to have the Advanced Diver Course to access them. The maximum diving depth will be determined by the certification level of each diver. It is the traveler’s responsibility to verify what depths their insurance policy covers. You can get the Advanced Diver course on board to improve your level and be able to access some of the diving spots. Contact us for any information or questions. There will be no diving on the day of arrival and departure. Divers should ensure they leave a minimum of 24 hours between their last dive and flying out (or planning to ascend to a certain altitude). All divers must dive in a team of buddies; If you travel alone we will assign you a companion. Decompression diving is not allowed on our trips. Solo diving is strictly prohibited.

Dive Guides: All Emperor Divers boats have a minimum of two guides on board. For all dive sites visited en route, our dive guides will give us a detailed and comprehensive dive briefing before entering the water. When your guide is in the water, they will stay with the group to navigate the site and look for any interesting marine life to show you. The dive guide will not provide any diving training during the dive and you and your buddy dive together at your own risk. As qualified divers, you are responsible for your own and your buddy’s safety during the dive and to “plan your dive, dive to your plan” using a personal dive computer.

Diving Equipment: Each traveler must bring or rent their own diving equipment. We recommend that it consists of: Mask, snorkel, fins, footwear, wetsuit, regulator, BCD, flashlight, SMB (with a minimum of 5 meters of line to deploy during the safety stop) and a dive computer with 12V batteries. replacement. Wetsuits should be 3 to 7 mm depending on the time of year. The water temperature ranges between 24ºC and 28°C from April to October, and 19ºC to 24°C from November to March. Cabins:  All liveaboard reservations include a stay in a standard cabin. Upgrades and superior cabins must be reserved in advance and are subject to availability. You can see all cabin options and details on each travel page.

Food and Drinks: Meals on board are typically buffet style with a variety of meat, chicken, fish, pasta, rice and vegetable dishes served with a selection of salads and sides. There are also cakes, cookies and fresh fruit available throughout the day. Water, soft drinks, tea and coffee are free and available 24 hours a day. We ask that you bring a refillable water bottle or canteen. Red wine is included during dinner on all ships, and we will notify you days before departure so you can purchase a beer-pack, subject to availability.

Behavior: Anti-social or aggressive behavior will not be tolerated and people who cause disruption to staff members or other travelers may be removed from the ship and the trip. All our trips are made and designed to enjoy, make friends and, above all, have a good time.

Internet on board: Emperor usually offers a small free wifi voucher (limited MB) and other paid internet packages on board. We recommend buying a local SIMcard at the airport or in a store, ask us if you have any questions.

Tips:  Tips are voluntary depending on the quality of service obtained by the guides and crew. You will find an envelope in your cabin after the trip and Emperor Divers’ general recommendation for Egypt is 100-150€ per person.

Maldives
